Dr. Abouzar Kaboudian is a Research Scientist in the School of Physics at Georgia Institute of Technology with a BSc. in Thermofluid Engineering from Isfahan University of Technolgy, Isfahan, Iran, an MEng. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a PhD. in Integrative Sciences & Engineering from National University of Singapore, Singapore. He completed his first post-doctoral training, in 2015, at National University of Singapore concenterating on HPC solutions for fluid-solid interaction with applications in oil-and gas industry. He then joined for his second post-doctoral training at CHAOS Lab, Georgia Tech where he developed a GPU based solution for personalized and interactive high perfrmance computing (HPC) implementations of cardiac dynamics. He is the developer of the computational JavaScript library Abubu.js which has been used in the areas of cardiac electrophysiology, fluid dynamics, fractal structures, and crystal growth.

His research interests are interactive accelerated computing, HPC, numerical methods, biomedical modeling, fluid-solid interaction and boundary value problems.
